Talking therapy is any therapy that involves talking through your issues with another person or other people (group therapy). Just by talking about something with someone else can help us to process and deal with the emotions that are triggered. Talking therapy aims to help you find the answers you need within yourself. No therapist is going to tell you what to do, only YOU have the answers! The therapist can help to guide you to your own solutions.
Hypnotherapy helps us to access some of those answers through working with your subconscious. It enables us to bypass the conscious 'block' in our mind and see the solution which was there all the time. Sometimes when something is too traumatic to talk about we can use hypnosis to help you to process the emotion around the trauma enabling you to move forward.
Please note: You do not have to re-live a trauma at any time to do change work.
Group therapy is a supportive environment enabling you to work with others who are experiencing similar issues.
