About Me
I have been working with clients in a therapeutic environment for over 2 decades. I work with people on a one to one basis and also facilitate group work sessions using a person-centered, solution focused framework, empowering people to achieve their full potential. I help people overcome the blocks and traumas in their life enabling them to make the changes they need. Hypnosis and one to one coaching sessions are part of the tools I use to help you achieve your goals.
My Story
I first experienced Hypnotherapy when I wanted to stop smoking and had tried everything else. All the solutions failed, from patches to gum and even prescribed drugs - nothing worked. I continued smoking while on the various treatments. I found a hypnotherapist and miraculously I stopped after just a 1 hour session! No issues, no cravings, not bothering me that everyone around me smoked. In 2004 I trained in London with the wonderful Valerie Austin. I saw this as an opportunity to help people as well as a great addition to my toolbox in my full-time position as a support worker working with addiction clients. It has enabled me to help many people with a variety of issues - stopping smoking being only one negative behaviour that can be helped. Other issues that often arise include phobias, fears, exam/interview nerves, confidence building and reducing stress and anxiety (and much much more).
Qualifications
I continue to work and study with other therapists to continue my professional development.
My experience has been gained by over 2 decades of working with people individually on a one to one basis and in group sessions dealing with their trauma and often trapped in addiction.
